Swollen Median Nerve

Clinical Information:

This lady is a housewife. She complained of numbness over her left-hand fingers for a few months. Physical examination showed compression test and phalen test were positive. No thenar wasting was noted.

Brief Description:

US examination showed median nerve was hypoechoic and swollen at the level of lunate bone on transverse view with a notch sign noted on longitudinal view.
